BFD Members complete training

Nine members of the Belton Fire Dept. completed the SCFA Pipeline Emergencies class on Saturday February 12th.  These members received valuable information that will help our department respond and mitigate emergencies involving gas and fuel oil pipelines emergencies.  This training is essential for all members due to the large amount of gas/oil products in our jurisdiction.  Topics covered were hazard assessment, response and notification, product indentificaiton, ppe and safety, incident command, and how to protect the public.
