On Wednesday, Engine Co. 2 responded to assist Cheddar Fire Dept. with a brush fire on Blount Rd. Approximately a half acre burned and came close to damaging one home. Belton Fire was first on scene and stretched hoselines to quickly extinguish the blaze. Friendship Fire Dept. also responded with a grass truck for assistance.
