On Friday, March 25, Belton firefighters were called to Pelzer St. to assist the Belton Police Dept. Two engines and rescue truck arrived and were informed by Belton Police Officers that two unidentified devices were found in the unoccupied home. Firefighters stretched hoselines and several homes were evacuated for safety purposes. The Anderson County Bomb Squad responded and determined the materials to be safe. The residents of the area were allowed to return home as emergency units cleared the area.
