Last night our members met for regular training and the topic was Auto Extrication. Our firefighters faced two challenging scenarios that we don't run across very often. The focus of the drill was "trunk tunneling" and our guys seen first hand this is tough work. Not only that but the vehicles were placed in an uncommon position that made stabilization paramount. Many different tools were used and everyone seen the importance of having many backup plans. I believe everyone added some "tools to their toolboxes last night" if we are faced with these unique challenges. Everybody did a fantastic job and worked really hard. Sorry for the late night guys, I will be expecting payback.
