BFD Training 5/23/11

On 5/23, Belton firefighters met for our bi-monthly training meeting.  Members took to the woods for some good rope operations training.  While in the wilderness at JC Ballpark firefighters took advantage of a large drop off to the creek for some basic rappelling.  Both regular members and explorers took part and did a great job learning some new techniques.  Later all members performed a low angle rescue down a large embankment further in the woods.  Skills practiced were sked stretcher, patient packaging, bar rack lowering, tandem prussik belay, and lower to haul conversion.  Pictures will be added soon.
