BFD Training 5/9/11
On Monday, May 9th, Belton firefighters met for regular bi-monthly training. Members present completed practical skills review of the following knots and hitches: figure 8 family, butterfly, clove hitch, prussik hitch, water knot, wrap 3 pull 2 anchor with webbing. Members also practiced building the tandem prussik belay, 2:1 haul system, 3:1 Z-rig and ladder rig. And after a review of all rope rescue PPE firefighters practiced rappelling with the Rescue 8 from the rear of City Hall. Any member who missed the training can set up a make up time with Capt. Maness. Keep practicing your knots.
