Structure Fire-Murdock Rd. 5/24/11

On Tuesday, Belton firefighters assisted Rock Springs F.D. on a structure fire on Murdock Rd.  Engine 1, Engine 2, and Car 1 responded to find a working fire in a single story residential.  Engine 1 layed in for water supply and Engine 2 crew made the connection.  Two 1 3/4" lines were pulled and the fire was quickly extinguished.  The bulk of the fire was contained to the back porch, kitchen and attic area.  Belton and Rock Springs departments worked great together to limit the damage to the home.  No occupants or firefighters were injured.
