On Monday, June 13th, Belton firefighters conducted regular bi-monthly training. Firefighters practiced the "Ladder Hinge" technique which is used to remove injured/stricken patients from atop a roof or other above ground area. Members lowered the packaged patient to the ground by rope attached to the stokes basket/sked and a 35ft ladder. This is a skill that utilizes minimal basic equipment and can be set up quickly to affect a rescue. Great job guys!
