Belton firefighters were on hand for the first annual Anderson County Community Awareness Day. The event was held June 25th at the Anderson campus of Tri-County Tech. Our members conducted several auto extrication demonstrations for the public as they learned a little about the equipment and procedures for removing victims pinned in an automobile. Other Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement agencies were there providing information and equipment demos as well. Despite the heat, the event had a good turnout and our guys did a great job informing the public. Those helping out were Chief Sims, Asst. Chief Escoe, Capt. Maness, Engineer Sams, Engineer Harris, Engineer Alewine, Firefighters Daritey, Floyd, Stevens, and Eller.
