BELTON FIRE DEPARTMENT: Structure Fire--Assist Williamston FD

Earlier today, Belton units responded to assist Williamston FD on a structure fire in the 100 block of South Hamilton St. Belton Rescue 1 and Honea Path Quint 1 initially responded to provide a rapid intervention team. Williamston 100 arrived to find heavy smoke and fire showing from a two story apartment. Belton units arrived and set up RIT and eventually were tasked with completing extinguishment and overhaul throughout the structure. The cause of the fire was unknown, but fire damage was present on both floors. Great job by Williamston firefighters to get an early knock on the fire. Williamston EMS provided rehab due to the high temperature. Occupants escaped without injury.
