BFD Trng.--9/26/11

On Monday, September 26, Belton firefighters met for bi-monthly training with the topic being Ventilation and Ladder Bailouts.  Members reviewed the use and operation of all ventilation saws, procedures for vertical ventilation, and then put the skills to use making several cuts on the roof props.  After this, firefighters then practiced performing head first ladder bailouts to be used in the event a firefighters must exit a window from deteriorating conditions.  A new method of moving a firefighter up stairs was also practiced.  Below are examples of what skills were performed.  Great job by all, great hands-on session!
