On Friday November 11, the BFD placed our new Matjack Airbags in service. The new set replaces the old and outdated bags that were previously being used. Earlier in the year, one airbag failed during lifting operations at Hydro while training on a forklift. The new system has lifting capability from 13 tons to 50 tons. These new bags will allow us to be better prepared in the event someone or something is trapped under vehicles or machinery. Whle breaking in the bags we also took time to bring out the griphoist and see what it can do. Love that thing!
