The Belton Fire Department hosted nearly 70 students from Anderson, Greenville, Spartanburg and Cherokee counties on Jan 20-21 for training to prepare responders in extricating victims from school bus crashes.  Billy Leach Jr., developer of the Big Rig curriculum, provided instruction over the two days.  Students gained valuable experience in gaining access to buses with various type of tools and techniques.  The following were instrumental in making this class a success: Billy Leach, Barry Dula, Mike Gambrell, Anderson County Fire Dept., Robbie Adams(Anderson School Bus Maint. Shop), Rick Heatherly, Ronnie Tinsley, Dan Sellers, Alan Walfield, Safe Industries, Anderson Fire and Safety, Paratech, Genesis Rescue Tools, Ajax Tools, Carson's Nut Bolt and Tool, Anderson County Fire, Firehouse Subs, and McCoy Lumber.  Thanks to all the students who came despite the weather for a great weekend of training.
