BFD assists Police and HazMat

During the evening of February 3rd, Belton firefighters were called to assist Belton Police and Sheriff's deputies on Stringer St.  Law enforcement officials were requesting decontamination of two subjects in custody after finding what appeared to be components of a meth lab.  Belton Engine 1 responded and quickly called for assistance from the Hazardous Materials Team.  The two subjects were decontaminated and fire/hazmat units remained on scene to assist during the investigation. Photograph by Brad Maness of Belton Fire Dept.
