On Wednesday, April 25, Belton firefighters received a call of a vehicle accident at the intersection of Green and River St. Engine 1 arrived to find a two car accident blocking the roadway. The driver of one vehicle was injured and unable to exit the vehicle. Belton firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle, removed hazards and utilized the "Jaws of Life" to cut away the door and free the patient. Belton EMS provided on-scene patient care and transported the patient while traffic was diverted by Belton Police officers.
