Training -- 6/11/12
On June 11, Belton firefighters met for regular bi-monthly training. Firefighters practiced several techniques for the removal of a downed firefighter in a reduced/confined area. This drill is better known as the "Denver Drill." It was developed after a LODD of Denver, CO firefighter. The prop is built to resemble to restricted area and high window sill of the actual area where that firefighter lost his life. The BFD put in a hard's night work in muggy conditions but it was definitely worth it. Great attitude and enthusiasm by all members. It really made the training worthwhile.
