Forcible Entry Training 7/21/12

Remaining AFG funds were put to great use on July 21 as Matt McDowell, president of SAFE Firefighter Training, delivered an awesome one day class on Forcible Entry.  This type of training is often hard to duplicate and Matt brought his own props to allow for several hours of hands-on training.  We ran across Matt and his company at the SC Fire Rescue Conference in June and felt this training would be something our members could benefit from.  This training provided us with the skillst to effectively force and gain entry through many doors and locks.  It also trained our members on recognizing building construction and how this affects doors and door framing construction which in turn helps up determine how to best defeat the door.  Huge thanks to Matt and JJ as they delivered an awesome class.  More information about SAFE Firefighter training can be found at their website www.safefirefighter.com.  Every firefighter needs to attend this training.
