Never Forget the Worcester 6

On December 3, 1999, six members of the Worcester Fire Department lost their lives while battling a blaze at a cold storage warehouse.  The fire was started by a homeless couple that left and never reported the fire.  Firefighters arrived and began performing searches and attacking the fire in the huge structure.  Firefighters became lost and disoriented and began to run out of air.  Other members entered to search for them and also became lost.  Rescue attempts were attempted but unsuccessful.  Sadly, six members lost their lives and are now known as the Worcester 6.
