Structure Fire / Assist Cheddar FD

 

On Sunday, March 17, at approx. 7am Belton firefighters were called to assist Cheddar and Friendship units on a large structure fire in the 200 block of Cannon Bottom Rd.  The fire was reported by a Friendship volunteer on his way to work.  Units arrived to find a large three story structure fully involved.  Additional tankers were summoned from South Greenville, West Pelzer, Rock Springs, Craytonville, and Ebenezer.  Master streams and 2.5" hoselines were used to fight the fire as water supply was established by a draft and tanker shuttle.  Firefighters worked well into the afternoon to extinguish hot spots and assist county investigators.  No word on the cause of the fire.
