On Saturday, May 25, Belton firefighters responded initially to provide RIT on a commercial structure fire at the old Chiquola Mill in Honea Path. After a few minutes that response was upgraded to an Engine and manpower. Friendship Fire Dept. was also requested. Units operated for several hours to bring the fire under control and complete overhaul. The fire is under investigation.
