MVA/Horse Entrapment-Assist Sta#15

At approx. 4:30am on Saturday morning, Belton firefighters were summoned to assist Friendship Fire Dept. with an extrication on Hwy 247 just outside the city limits.  Engine 1, Car 1 and Special Operations responded to assist with manpower and tools.  Found an overturned vehicle hauling a horse trailer with two horses still trapped.  A veterinarian and Animal Rescue Specialist were special called to assist with removal.  This was an unusual incident that required "outside the box" thinking.  The two departments worked seamlessly on the prolonged extrication.  More pics coming...
