Rope Rescue Training 5-13-13

On Monday, May 13, Belton firefighters took to the woods to practice rope rescue techniques.  Firefighters practiced rescuing a "injured hiker" by lowering a rescue team to package and remove the patient.  This type of drill allows firefighters to practice these techniques in a real environment.  Areas covered were: Anchors, tandem prussic safety, lowering and hauling lines and patient packaging with the SKED.  Great job by our members.
