Heavy Fire conditions upon arrival

At approx. 1:45 am on May 16, Belton firefighters were summoned to assist Cheddar and Friendship Fire Departments on a residential structure fire.  Belton E-2 arrived first to find heavy fire conditions involving nearly 50% of the structure.  Crews made entry through the front door and put a quick stop on the progression of fire.  A search was made and proved negative.  Extensive overhaul was needed to complete extinguishment.  Cheddar 12-01 called for an investigator to respond and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
