Structure Fire Oak St. 12/19/13

BFD responded to a residential structure fire last Thursday on Oak St.  Crews arrived to find a working fire in single-story, wood frame house.  The single occupant made it out of the home without injury and firefighters quickly went to work extinguishing the fire, performing search and vertically venting.  Rock Springs Fire Dept. provided manpower and assisted with water supply.  The fire was limited to the front room and some extension into the overhead, but heat and smoke damage was extensive throughout.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
